Company, A Wedding and Just Being Cute

Troy's cousin, Stephen, his wife, Michelle, and their kids, Titus and Damaris, came to visit us last week. We had a lot of fun. It was a short visit but we managed to squeeze in some adventures including a trip to the Raptor Center and Fossil Gorge. William enjoyed having other little people running about the house- they were very entertaining :).

Troy and I ventured out by ourselves to a wedding for a couple in our church. Congratulations Phil and Jackie! Don't worry William was safe and sound with Uncle Josh and Aunt Leah. Troy and I had a great time and as you can see so did many others from our church.

William just seems to get cuter every day and my camera just can't keep up! Here are a few of his lastest pictures.

We ventured out to our church softball game to cheer the team on one Friday night. William's friend, Ainsley, was there. They are both so cute yet did not cooperate too much for pictures. They seemed way more interested in looking around then smiling for the camera or watching the game.



I stumbled across the onesie we brought William home from the hospital in and thought "wonder if it still fits?" It did but not real well. Top 2 pictures are William at 2 days old and the bottom 2 are William at almost 5 & 1/2 months. WOW! Time has flown by.

We've Been Busy!

WE LOVE TO EAT!

William has started eating cereal. It is very fun to see him growing up and eating from a spoon. He gets excited sometimes and makes funny noises. Most of the food makes it in his mouth (sometimes 2 & 3 times) and down to his tummy! Here is a short video and a few pics.

MUSHROOMING!

William and I ventured out on a mushroom hunt and found one lonely mushroom. William loves to be outside and ride in his carrier. He is so comfortable in it he will fall asleep very easily. I guess mushrooming wasn't that excting for him. On another trip back into the woods, we found eleven mushrooms around one tree- now that was excting! And yes, William slept through that too.

MOTHER'S DAY!

Troy and William took me to Olive Garden for lunch on Mother's Day and gave me a figurine titled "Angel of Mine" with a mother holding a baby. It is very precious and was a nice day. William was in a great mood all day which was very nice, being mother's day and all!

Congratulations Ben!

We survived our big trip south to Kansas City for Ben's graduation (Angela's brother). William did great in the car & hotel and was very go with the flow, maybe even more so then mommy. We had a great time hanging out with family and seeing Ben walk across the stage. He graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Rolling Over

William rolled over Tues. April 29th from his back to his tummy. We were playing with him on the floor and he was quite active but getting tired and a tad whiny. So Troy went to the kitchen to load the dishes (what a good husband) and I ran to the bathroom and upon returning- he was on his tummy! We missed it! But that is okay because he performed well rolling 5 or 6 more times. And come to find out, he had rolled over at daycare that day- oh well. It is all very exciting to see him growing and learning new things. However, as kids learns to move more- how do you keep track of them-yikes??

Sun and a Shower :)

Monday William and I ventured out for a walk on our dirt road this week. It was sunny and 70 and seemed perfect-we just HAD to seize the day before the rain and snow were forcasted to come again. However, these little flies that like to swarm your head thought the same and made our walk shorter then planned but it was nice for us to get some "fresh" air, sun, and excercise :)

Sunday our small group from church had a wedding shower for a couple we have had a great time getting to know and have come to love and adore, Phil and Jackie. It was a lot of fun!

William has yet another friend about his age. Our church is popping kids out left and right. Addison was born 15 days after William and as you can see they are both really into brightly colored toys-so mesmerizing :)

This week we are getting ourselves ready for our first BIG trip with William. Uncle Ben is graduating college down in Kansas City-yikes-but we wouldn't miss it for anything. So check back to see how it goes- Peace out :)

Sickness

Well, as I mentioned near the end of my last entry, sickness had hit the Lyons household. Our last week was filled with the wonders of caring for an infant who was under the weather AND also being under the weather ourselves. Poor little William has been fighting sinus congestion and a cough for about a week now and getting his 4 month shots mid-week did not help. The picture below pretty much sums the week up. Poor little guy.We did however have a few happy moments......
Daddy stayed home with William when he was sick and practiced different hairstyles for him.

William managed to get this burp rag on his head and just let it sit there while playing- I guess he was just getting ready for another coughing/spitting up session and wanted his rag close by :).

I think everyone is starting to get better and hopefully we can get back to sleeping through the night soon! Have a great week!
