William is Walking

Monday (Oct. 27) William started walking. He started by taking 4 or 5 steps by himself. He is now moving 5-6 feet at a time- mostly between one thing to the next. It is pretty cute to see such a little person trying to be so grown up :) I am sure his walking will soon turn to running-yikes!

Josh & Leah come for a Visit

Josh (Angela's brother) and his wife, Leah, came to visit us for the weekend. Activities included a trip to the Amish bakery, shooting Troy's bow (boys only), playing Railroads ALL day Saturday (seriously we started around 10:00 and ended around 4:30 with a few breaks here and there- Leah Won!), watching the Iowa game, a bonfire with Anna & Adam-complete with apple cider, hot dog roast, smore's, caramel apples and more-yum-yum, a birthday party for Josh-Happy 25!, and a special appearance from Uncle Ben. :) We had a lot of fun!

Will's Overnight Adventure

So long story short- William got to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa Innis' house while mom & dad took a short trip north. The main reason for our trip was to go to the Cabelas in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin for Troy to get his hunting bow that he has been saving up Cabelas' points for approximately 3-4 years. The trip was a success- a bow was picked, assembled & purchased after about 4 hours :( . And then we spend a little time sight seeing & hiking nearby at Pikes Peak- It is where the Mississippi River and Wisconsin River meet. It was very pretty as the leaves were just starting to change and the weather was AWESOME! We had a good time. Oh and William survived too. I only have a few pictures of before I left him but it sounds as though he had a good time. And I think he may like it better at grandma's house then home :).

Grandpa got the teddy bear swing up and running and it was a big hit with William as you can see.

Teeth

William has finally gotten a few teeth. He has had them for awhile but I am just now getting some good pictures to share. He was around 8 & 1/2 months when they both came in the same week. I think he is working on more as the drool just doesn't ever stop.

When William first learned to clap, we would clap when he would and he seemed to get a big kick out of us clapping for him. This video demonstrates that a little.

Little Bulldozer

William LOVES to push anything that will move so he can walk with it. He also now stands by himself so everyone keeps saying he is really close to walking.

Kalona Fall Festival

Adam grew up in Kalona and had fond memories of going to their Fall Festival. So we all went to partake in the experience! I tell ya what- they had some good food there! William loves riding in his stroller and just soaking it all in. We had a great time.

Iowa Homecoming Parade

We took William to his first parade- University of Iowa Homecoming Parade. He was very overwhelmed with everything to look at. I think his favorite thing was watching flocks of birds that would fly over- it was funny- he would randomly just tilt his head straight back so he could see them. It was a good time!
